Compatible:
We have verified that the following Authoring Applications produce
DVDs that are compliant enough to the DVD Specifications and capable
of being RipGuard Copy Protected without incident, provided there
is NO Copy Protection enabled within the program at the time of
authoring:
- DVD Studio Pro v3 and v4
- Adobe Encore v1, v2 & v3†
- PhotoDex ProShow Producer 3.0
- Scenarist (Daikin or Sonic)
- MEI
- iDVD v5 and v6†
- Spruce Maestro
- DVDit
- Nero 8
- DVD Architect v2 (on Sony Vegas)
- DVD Architect v4.x (on Sony Vegas)†
- TMPGEnc DVD Author 3†
- Ulead DVD Moviefactory
- Pinnacle Studio†
- Pinnacle 11 Ultimate
- Pinnacle 8†
- Roxio Media Creator v10†
- Sonic Scenarist 3.2
† = DVDs produced with these
programs have special requirements in order to be RipGuard compatible.

Not Compatible:
The following is a list of Authoring applications that are known
NOT to produce DVDs which are compliant enough to the DVD Specifications
to be copy protected:
- DVD Arabesk (all versions)
- Roxio Toast
- Windows Movie Maker
- AVID DVD Version 5.7
- Sonic Scenarist 3.1†
† = Sonic Scenarist 3.1 must
be upgraded to v3.2
As new applications are identified, this list will be updated,
so please check back to stay aware of the latest compatibility information.
FREE Evaluation:
If your Authoring program is not listed here, we will gladly evaluate
your DVD, free of charge to identify if it is compatible or non-compatible
with RipGuard. Simply download, fill out and print the RipGuard
Eval Form, include it with 2 copies of your DVD and send it all
